Self-awareness in healing turns out to be key; it's a little difficult to hit a moving target otherwise. While practitioners, particularly those with an Eastern orientation, might espouse the saying that "when the student is ready, the teacher will appear" -- healing also takes a willingness to look at your life squarely and realize what about it isn't working. That turns out to be the first and most necessary step along the path to wellness.
